Vale Jack Pirie
FMAANZ members note with sadness the passing of Jack Pirie, founder and former Chairman and 

Director of Fantech.  Jack played a key role in developing the fan industry in Australia, 

including through the passing on of skills and knowledge through his and Fantech’s relationship 

with universities and an engineering training program for customers.  Jack’s efforts and 

dedication to ourindustry over a long period of time were recognised in 2010 when he was 

inducted into the ARBS Hall of Fame.
